5 Tips for a Longer Lasting Atomizer

The atomizer is the heating element in your e-cigarette that produces the vapor – as this is what makes vaping possible, you’ll want to be sure to take care of it in order to keep it working well for as long as possible.

Overheating

The atomizer has a tiny heating coil inside of it that heats up in order to vaporize the nicotine fluid. With anything that heats up, it’s important to prevent it from getting too hot. If you allow your cartridge to dry out and run out of nicotine fluid then you’ll run the risk of it overheating, and ultimately becoming damaged.

Never allow your cartridges to completely dry out before replacing or refilling them.

Storage

Be sure to store your electronic cigarette in a way that does not allow it to come into contact with other metals, like keys or coins. These types of items can cause your battery to turn on when you aren’t using it which can result in overheating. Many users don’t consider this when placing the e-cig in their pants pockets.

Keep it clean

If your atomizer isn’t producing the same amount of vapor it usually does, it probably needs cleaning. It’s important to keep the atomizer clean, dry and clear of buildup. Use a clean, lint-free cloth to gently clean in and around the threads that connect the batter and atomizer. After cleaning the outer connections, take an untarnished area of the lint-free cloth and gently dab and wipe the area around the atomizer’s vent hole, making sure not to leave any liquid or material on the connection.

Treat it with care

As with any electronic device, use care when handling your e-cig. Dropping it can cause damage – use the same kind of caution you would when handling your cell phone or iPod.

Other precautions

Don’t allow e-liquid to drip onto the atomizer. When purchasing e-liquid keep in mind that lower quality e-liquids may shorten the life of your atomizer. The atomizer is the heating element in your e-cigarette that produces the vapor – as this is what makes vaping possible, you’ll want to be sure to take care of it in order to keep it working well for as long as possible.
