ARKANSAS: (HEADS UP!) Law would deny early ADULT #smokers & #vapers access to much safer alternative #vaping & #smokefree products w/unusual focus on punishing “minors” (who are ostensibly prohibited access due to lack of mature reasoning) for possession.

MAINE: (UPDATE) LD 551 was voted to WORK SESSION. While cigarettes would remain legal, bill sponsor, Senator Michael Carpenter, aims to “stop vaping in the state,” FALSELY claims “when you use it exactly as is directed, we know it will kill people. We know it will harm people.” 

NOTE: Proposed bills in Maine customarily go to 1 or more work sessions before committee issues a final report (recommendation to pass or not, financial impact, etc) back to the floor. Work sessions are open to the public. So, many more steps before this bill could become law!

NACOGDOCHES, TEXAS: (UPDATE) Without any evidence of risk to bystanders or necessity of intervention, city prohibits businesses from allowing #vaping in their establishments. Final draft approval needed for it to take effect, so call them today!

ATLANTA, TEXAS: (UPDATE) Without any evidence of risk to bystanders or necessity of intervention, city prohibits smoke-free #vaping OUTSIDE in parks and within 25 feet of city buildings. Violation could face a fine of up to $500.
